Suzanne Blackwood
Executive Assistant to the Minister of Discipleship
Suzanne joined Shades as a teenager in 1988. In 1999, she moved her membership to Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas for two years and then came back to Shades in 2001. She joined the staff part-time in 2009 and then transitioned to full-time in 2012. Suzanne is the Executive Assistant to the Minister of Discipleship and also offers support to the Director of Women’s Ministry. She is married to Marty and together they have five boys. In the fall of 2021 they will finally be Empty Nesters!
