Summer's a fun season, but it's jam-packed. As you put together your plans, we want you to know how you can stay involved in all we have going on at Shades. The calendar's full; it's going to be a fun season here too!
Preschool Ministry
June 7-11 | Vacation Bible School; Explore the ancient truths of God's Word with us as we go on an archeological dig. Click here to register or volunteer now! 9am-noon.
June 16 | Hoover Splash Pad & Playground; Come enjoy outdoor & water fun! 9-10:30 am.
June 30 | Ross Park Playground; We're having a picnic at the park! Bring your own blankets & dinner. 3830 Ross Park Drive, Birmingham, AL, 35226. 5-7:30 pm.
July 15 | McCollum Park; It's Pops at the Park! Bring your favorite outdoor toys, and we'll provide the popsicles. 9-10:30 am.
July 28 | Splashtacular; We're bringing it back to the Pavilion! Water games for all ... bring your own dinner, and we'll provide the water fun! 5-7:30 pm.
August 12 | Shades Playground; Open playground fun with snacks provided. 9-10:30 am.
May 31-June 4 | Summer Camp; We'll gather at Ocoee Ridge Camp for a week of worshiping Jesus and growing in unity. Click here to register!
June 7-11 | Vacation Bible School; This is a great opportunity for students to lead and invest in the youngest of us. Click here to sign your student up to volunteer!
June 18 | Spring Valley Beach; You're never too old for a day at the water park, right?! We're taking a day-trip up to Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville. It's sure to be a good time!
June 19 | College & Adult 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament; We're teaming up with our Community Life Ministry for a basketball tournament for college students!
June 22-27 | Summer Mission Trip; We'll serve & worship with a ministry partner in Kansas City, MO. More details to come!
July 10 | Student 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament; It's competition for students this go-around! Grab your friends & put your best team together to see if you can come out on top.
July 15 | Fresh; This one-day event for our graduating seniors heading to college is a great way to prepare for the next step. You'll hear what it's like from those who've gone before you, & we'll also have resources & sessions for parents!
July 16 | Atlanta Braves game; We'll road trip over to Atlanta for a night of baseball & fun!
July 24 | Beach Day Trip; There's more information to come, but it'll be a great day in the sun & sand!
May 17 | Young Adult Worship Night; This night of worship & teaching is available to all young professionals, engaged & newlywed couples, and married young adults without kids. 7:30 pm in the Student Building!
June 7-11 | Vacation Bible School; This is a life-changing event for many of our preschoolers and children. But it can't happen without you! Click here to sign-up to volunteer today. 9am to noon.
June 19 | 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament; You and your team can compete against other adults and college students in this bracket-style event.
June 24 | I Love America Day; We're excited to serve in our community at the grand re-opening of Wald Park. We'd love to have you serve with us, and come enjoy a concert by the Shades orchestra!
July 16 | CLC Family Fun Night; We'll host a community event for families, and it'll be a night of outdoor fun!
