Orchestra
Just as in the Scriptures, musical instruments play a key role in creating sounds and moods through which God can be magnified, communicated with, and worshiped. The instrumentalists at Shades are here to serve in that capacity. They play for most services in a wide array of postures and arrays; sometimes in a small, intimate group and sometimes in the splendor of an epic arrangement, each of them designed to point to the One who is the Author of beauty. Whether it's a Sunday worship service or a grand production through the year, we will do our best to minister across the spectrum of sounds and styles so that the Lord Jesus will be known by the nations.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Worship Orchestra is open to adults and advanced level high school students. If you feel God has equipped you with musical skills and a heart for service, please email Dr. Joel Davis.
REHEARSAL
Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:00-8:20 p.m. in the orchestra rehearsal room, located on second floor Worship Center. Childcare is provided.
SUNDAY MORNING
9:05 a.m. in the Music Suite for rehearsal and prayer before the Sunday morning service.
