We are a community of young adults – both single and married – in our 20s and 30s seeking to follow Jesus as we navigate life’s transitions.
As we navigate together the transition from college to early adulthood, we gather in Worship, Sunday School, and social events to encourage one another to love the Lord and walk in his ways.
Sunday School is a primary time to connect with others at Shades through worship, prayer, and study. We meet at 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings in the Conference Center.
DGroups are groups of 3-5 members of the same gender that meet weekly for one year.
Sunday School
Offered at 9 & 10:30 AM, these classes focus on building a healthy, biblical marriage, and utilize the topical Foundations of Marriage curriculum. The class material is designed to be taken once as an engaged couple and once as a newlywed couple.
Together: Preparation for Marriage
Together, our premarital ministry at Shades, is designed to provide engaged couples an opportunity to prepare for marriage in the context of community. Though a combination of large group teaching and small group discussion led by mentor couples, Together will prepare you for common opportunities and challenges in marriage from a biblical perspective.

Discipleship is not something that happens just at church services and small groups. It should happen in all of life and the home is the ideal place for it to begin. Marriage is more than friendship and romance; marriage is about discipleship. We want to see young married couples follow Jesus, and help their families follow Jesus, too.
Sunday School is a primary time to connect with others at Shades. We have young married Sunday School classes at 9 & 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings.
We offer Sunday School and Worship Care on Sundays at both 9 & 10:30 AM.
