Confession! Our TV stays on the HGTV channel more than any other channel! To maintain some sense of my dignity, I want to think sports programs are right up there but since I watch those on a variety of channels, HGTV would still win out as the most-watched channel.
We love home projects! We are just starting on a renovation of a room at our house, and there is something incredible about the “before” and “after” of projects. We have taken all the “before” pictures so that when it is finished, we are able to look back and celebrate the transformation of the space.
God is in the business of transformation as well. Pastor George reminded us that we are spiritually lost, helpless, separated from God. That was the “before.” “But God…” (Ephesians 2:4)! We couldn’t make it to God, but he made a way through Jesus. The result is that we are transformed. He gives us a new life in Christ that brings hope, direction, and security. A whole new identity.
This week, as we prepare for Easter services, you may know someone … you may be someone … in the “before” stage. Jesus is the master craftsman and delights in taking people in the “before” stage and transforming them to the “after” stage. He delights in doing that and what a great celebration it is when that happens! Would you plan to join us for one of our three services this Easter weekend? We have three service times available: 8, 9:30, & 11 AM, and we'll have space available for guests in each hour. There is no Sunday School or Children's Worship on Easter Sunday. We will have childcare for preschool through kindergarten and special needs.
