That's our aim, and Vacation Bible School 2020 takes on a new purpose in light of our mission and the current pandemic surrounding COVID-19.
VBS will not take place on campus later this summer.
Rather, we're encouraging families to sign up for a one-time event held in your home or yard throughout the month of July. The Sweet Life, VBS 2020, teaches kids the deep well of God's love by tasting and seeing the Lord is good. In the coming days, we'll share more information about how our preschool and children's ministries will equip families for this night, in addition to how our team will be involved!

With every event we host at Shades, our goal is to make it a safe, positive experience for everyone involved. With that goal in mind, we've decided to cancel Student Camp 2020.
Camp is one of our favorite events each and every year. After looking at the general perspectives of our church family in our churchwide survey and having conversations with staff, it’s best for us to cancel camp this year. With the current information we have, we don’t believe we can ensure a great experience for all, and so we needed to make this decision. Everyone who is already registered will receive a full refund, and stay tuned for announcements coming very soon about student ministry summer plans!
