This Sunday |
The calendar flips to November this weekend, and we have a full Sunday planned! Daylight Saving Time ends, and you’ll gain an extra hour of sleep, so be sure all your devices and clocks are set correctly Saturday night to make it to our services at 9 or 10:30 AM on time. Bonus: preschoolers are invited to come in their pajamas! During worship, Chad Cossiboom will bring a message on abuse prevention and compassionate care for survivors of abuse within the church. We’ll wrap up the day with a meeting for those of you interested in learning more about how to get involved with Hope Community Church. That meeting takes place at 6 PM in the Student Building. We’ll see you Sunday! |

ELECTION DAY |
Next Tuesday (11/3) is Election Day, and we encourage you to set aside time to vote. This past Sunday, Pastor Danny preached a great message about the importance of using our voice, and he also outlined some practical ways to pray about and research your vote. Over the next few days, we encourage you to read your Bible and to read summaries of the party platforms as you consider your decision. Each year, church members are invited to participate in the important process of prayerfully nominating men to serve as deacons at Shades. Nominations are due by November 4 and can be submitted by email to jbuchanan@shades.org, mailed to the church office, or dropped in an offering basket in the Worship Center.

And because we want you to have plenty of time to vote next week, PowerLunch has been moved to Tuesday, November 10. CHURCHWIDE
BUSINESS MEETING |
Due to the extenuating circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual church business meeting (normally held in October) has been postponed to Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 6 PM in the Worship Center, with a final budget vote on Sunday, Dec. 6 at the end of services. You can participate either in-person or online via livestream. The 2021 Proposed Budget is provided for your review at the link below.
