The next ManChurch is Sunday, October 25, at 6:00 in the Worship Center. Rick Burgess will be deliver a message titled “What is Discipleship?” We, as a church, want to see men growing as disciples of Jesus, but we cannot grow if we don’t know the goal. Come worship with us, hear an edifying and challenging message, and get plugged in to one of our small groups or discipleship groups. Make plans to attend and bring a friend. DEACON NOMINATIONS |
Each year, church members are invited to participate in the important process of prayerfully nominating men to serve as deacons at Shades. Watch your email for a message that includes a nomination form along with the biblical guidelines for deacon service. Nominations are due by November 4 and can be submitted by email to jbuchanan@shades.org, mailed to the church office, or dropped in an offering basket in the Worship Center.

VETERANS |
We’re still compiling a list of Shades veterans to honor in November. One of the ways we’re thanking those who have served is by placing a sign in their yard. If you know someone who has served our country but is not connected to Shades, this is a great opportunity for a gospel conversation! If you or one of your loved ones has served in the Armed Forces, email their names to Jonathan Payne, Minister to Senior Adults.

WORSHIP NIGHT |
Young Professionals and Young Adults are invited to Worship Night on Monday, October 19 at 7:30 pm in the Student Building. Bring your dinner and eat together at the Pavilion beforehand at 6:30. This is a great chance to meet some new people and worship together! Jacob Simmons will be preaching, and Riggs Taylor is leading worship.
